AVID
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a fourth through twelfth grade system to prepare students in the academic middle for four-year college eligibility.
Students in the program commit themselves to improvement and preparation for college. AVID offers a rigorous program of instruction in academic "survival skills" and college level entry skills. The AVID program teaches students how to study, read for content, take notes, organize and manage time. Students participate in collaborative study groups, or tutorials, led by tutors who use skillful questioning to bring students to a higher level of understanding.
21C LEARNING CENTERS
The 21st Century Community Learning Grant (21C) is a federal program supporting the creation of community learning centers that provide academic opportunities during non-school hours.
Greeley-Evans School District 6 (D6) was awarded a 21C Grant from the Colorado Department of Education, allowing 21C schools to provide FREE, quality programming to students and families.
