The Summit Learning Platform is a Learning Management System, similar to Schoology or Google Classroom. It is a tool teachers use to share assignments with students and for students to turn in work for feedback. There are also resources that students can access to help them with their learning. This platform is accessible for students through the internet and is available 24/7.
Incoming 6th grade families and families new to Heath:
I wanted to share with you some information about our Summit Learning Platform and the curriculum. The Summit Learning Platform is a Learning Management System, similar to Schoology or Google Classroom. It is a tool teachers use to share assignments with students and for students to turn in work for feedback. There are also resources that students can access to help them with their learning. This platform is accessible for students through the internet and is available 24/7.
Our incoming 6th grade students will be familiar with the curriculum on the platform. It is the EL Education for English Language Arts and IM for math. Students will know the routines and procedures from their work with these curriculums in their elementary experience, and we are excited to continue and deepen their experiences!
Social studies and science is project based, and students will experience a variety of labs and projects.
